The TP-Link TL-SG2218P is a JetStream 18-Port Gigabit Smart Switch designed for scalable business networks. It features 16 Gigabit 802.3at/af-compliant PoE+ ports with a total power budget of 150W, ideal for powering access points, IP cameras, and VoIP phones. Two dedicated Gigabit SFP slots provide high-speed fibre uplink options.
As part of the Omada Software Defined Networking (SDN) platform, the TL-SG2218P supports centralised cloud management, Zero-Touch Provisioning (ZTP), and intelligent network monitoring. This allows for remote and unified administration of the network infrastructure from a single interface.
Key networking capabilities include a comprehensive set of L2 and L2+ features, such as Static Routing, 802.1Q VLAN, and Quality of Service (QoS) for effective traffic optimisation. Security is provided through IP-MAC-Port Binding, Access Control Lists (ACL), and Port Security to safeguard the network against common threats. The switch is housed in a standard rack-mountable metal casing.
